After the Wait: Drop-In Support Group

Support group for parents who struggled to conceive. Free, drop in group.

What To Expect

Meets monthly on Fridays, 11am-12:30pm at 385 Ward Street in Newton. Babies welcome. This is not a clinical psychotherapy group, rather a drop-in support group. Anyone who is currently pregnant or has had a baby after struggling to conceive is welcome to attend. Please direct any questions to Samantha at samantha@bostonbirthvillage.com. This group is a safe and nurturing community designed to bring together those who have experienced the challenges of infertility. This group provides a compassionate space where parents can share their journeys, process what they went through to conceive, and celebrate the unique joy of finally welcoming a child. Whether through natural conception, assisted reproductive technologies, or adoption, members of the group bond over the resilience, hope, and love that carried them through their difficult paths to parenthood. The group fosters a sense of belonging and understanding, helping parents navigate the complexities of their experiences, from the lingering emotional impacts of infertility to the joys and challenges of parenting after a long-awaited dream has come true. The group will be co-facilitated by Yaffa Garber Tilles, LICSW, PMH-C and Samantha Edelman, MSW Candidate and BBV Social Work Intern.
